Air Products: S&P raises outlook to 'stable' after halt to high-risk projects
S&P Global Ratings has raised its outlook for Air Products from 'negative' to 'stable' and confirmed the issuer and debt ratings at A as well as the short-term rating at A-1. The agency views the withdrawal from projects such as the Louisiana Clean Energy complex and the liquid hydrogen facility in Casa Grande as credit-positive, although this resulted in one-time pre-tax charges of about $2.9 billion and reduced the capital plan to $3.5 billion. Air Products generated positive adjusted operating free cash flow on an LTM basis for the first time since 2022; FFO/debt improved to 30% and the debt/EBITDA ratio is 2.7x, leading S&P to expect the company will prioritize traditional industrial-gas projects going forward. » More on de.investing.com
