Ameren boosts Q1 earnings per share by 20% thanks to strong infrastructure investments
Ameren reports diluted EPS of $1.28 for Q1 2026 (+19.6% year-on-year) and reaffirms its full-year guidance of $5.25–$5.45. Revenue of $2.18 billion missed expectations, while higher AFUDC and PISA effects and increased spending on rate-regulated infrastructure supported the result. Ameren is accelerating capital expenditures sharply (Q1 spending +47.9%) and plans $31.8 billion of investment through 2030 to drive demand growth, new generation capacity and transmission projects, but sees risks from weather, regulatory approvals, interest-rate exposure and potential dilution from share issuances. » More on de.investing.com
