  • Deutsche Bank Research upgrades Iberdrola to buy and raises price target to €22

Deutsche Bank Research has upgraded Iberdrola from "Hold" to "Buy" and raised the price target from €18.50 to €22.00. Analyst James Brand attributes the view to higher power prices and a stronger near-term growth profile, and expects double-digit earnings increases through 2028. Ahead of the Q3 results, Iberdrola is likely to raise its 2026 outlook. » More on finanzen.net

  • Iberdrola grows in second quarter and buys Finnish grid operator Caruna

Iberdrola increased revenue in the second quarter by almost 10% to €10.45 billion and adjusted EBITDA by 13% to just under €4 billion, driven by a strong networks business. The company confirmed its raised profit target for 2026 and plans to increase adjusted net income for 2024 by more than 8%. At the same time, Iberdrola is acquiring an 80% stake in Caruna for €2 billion, a strategically fitting but, according to analysts, costly purchase that is likely to slightly boost earnings per share in 2027. » More on finanzen.net
