American Integrity sees growth from Florida's insurance reforms
American Integrity says the reforms in Florida have significantly reduced insured losses and stabilized the market, leading to strong underwriting activity (43,000 new policies in Q2 2024, +54% y/y). Management expects returns and growth to normalize and is targeting a return on equity in the mid-teens over the cycle, after 40% last year. Florida remains the core market (about 92% of the portfolio), while selective expansion into South Carolina, Georgia and North Carolina is being pursued. Improved reinsurance terms and disciplined underwriting standards are expected to limit catastrophe risk; decisions on dividends and share buybacks are expected after December 1. » More on de.investing.com
