AutoZone reports stronger-than-expected Q4 results as management flags sales momentum
AutoZone reported Q4 sales up 5.6% to $6.6 billion, net income of $931.6 million and diluted EPS of $56.05, beating expectations. Gross margin improved to 53.3%, partly due to a 145-basis-point tariff refund and a 105-basis-point net non-cash LIFO benefit. The company opened 175 stores in the quarter (374 for the fiscal year) and said sales momentum strengthened late in the period, but shares remain nearly 30% below year-ago levels. Analysts remain largely positive with a median 12-month target implying roughly 35% upside. » More on finance.yahoo.com
AutoZone rises after profit beat despite revenue miss
AutoZone reported Q4 EPS of $56.05 versus a $54.30 consensus while net sales fell short at $6.6 billion versus $6.71 billion expected. The profit beat and management's comments about stronger sales in the final eight weeks and positioning for fiscal 2027 lifted AutoZone shares about 6%. Advance Auto Parts and O'Reilly Automotive also jumped on the read-through, though the sales shortfall means the rally may be a one-name recovery until peers report their own results. » More on finance.yahoo.com
