Bilfinger under pressure after Berenberg analysis: risk to annual targets
The Bilfinger share fell by up to 5 percent to €76.50 and was the weakest stock in the MDax. Berenberg analyst Andreas Wolf warns that Bilfinger will need to noticeably increase profitability in the second half of the year to meet its annual targets, which is difficult in the current environment. Wolf nevertheless expects above‑average growth in the long term and sees recovery potential with a price target of €92.50; the rating is currently “Hold” because of short‑term uncertainties. » More on de.investing.com
Bilfinger increases revenue, EBITA margin remains at lower end of guidance
In Q2 2026 Bilfinger raised revenue by 7% to €1.45 billion; EBITA grew less proportionally, by 4% to €77 million. The revenue target for 2026 (€5.4–5.9 billion) remains unchanged, and the EBITA margin is expected to be at the lower end of the 5.8–6.2% range. Weighing on results were project delays in Europe, higher material costs and missing orders from the federal infrastructure program; at the same time higher order intake and revenues in construction point to a possible recovery in the second half of the year. » More on finanzen.net
UBS upgrades Bilfinger and drives stock higher
UBS has upgraded Bilfinger from “Neutral” to “Buy” and lowered the price target from €107 to €102, after which the share rose about 4.0% to €83.275. The bank cites an improved risk profile following strong Q2 results (revenue +7% to €1.45bn, EPS +13% to €1.47) and high order visibility (order intake around €1.5bn, covering 90% of the 2026 revenue forecast). UBS also sees an attractive valuation discount (estimated 7.6x EBITA for 2027) versus peers like SPIE and views the price decline since February as a buying opportunity. » More on de.investing.com
