Boeing receives approval for 737 MAX 10
The U.S. aviation authority FAA has granted final approval to the Boeing 737 MAX 10 after years of delays, allowing deliveries to begin in the coming months. The largest MAX model offers up to 230 seats and, with more than 1,550 orders, is an important pillar for Boeing’s financial recovery; the FAA required improvements such as to the flight control system and ice protection. The delays since 2020 helped Airbus win market share with the A321neo, while Boeing opened a new production line to increase 737 output. » More on faz.net
Boeing receives approval for 737 Max 10
The US aviation regulator FAA has granted final approval for the Boeing 737 Max 10, allowing deliveries to begin in the coming months. Boeing views the largest model in the 737 family as an important component of its financial recovery; customers have ordered more than 1,550 Max 10 aircraft. The FAA had required substantial improvements for approval, including updates to the flight control system with an optimized angle-of-attack sensor; earlier delays had been caused by problems with the engines' ice protection. » More on manager-magazin.de
Boeing gets FAA certification for 737 Max 10 after years of delays
The FAA has approved Boeing's 737 Max 10, the largest model in the 737 Max family, clearing the last jet in the series after multi-year delays. Regulators reviewed a navigation-system glitch and concluded it was not a safety-of-flight issue; engineering changes including an engine anti-icing fix were required. Boeing says Max 10 orders account for about 30% of its backlog and airlines can begin integrating the type into schedules, a process that may take months. The certification comes as Boeing ramps up 737 Max and 787 production, including a fourth Max production line in Everett, Washington. » More on cnbc.com
