Boot Barn stock falls after sharp slowdown in same-store sales growth
At the Goldman Sachs conference Boot Barn reported that same-store sales growth was only 2% in August versus 8.4% a year earlier, and the slow pace continued through the first three weeks of September. Investors reacted with a roughly 6.5% sell-off, and the stock fell intraday to a 52-week low of $131.85. Management expects newly opened stores could lift revenue and EPS in the second quarter to the top end of the guidance range, but short-term growth concerns and a weak overall market weighed heavily on the stock. » More on de.investing.com
