  • Cadence Minerals completes mechanical upgrade of Azteca processing plant in Brazil

Cadence Minerals has completed the mechanical upgrade of the Azteca processing plant at the Amapá iron-ore project; all eight plant systems are finished. Cold commissioning begins next week, followed by wet commissioning and, after regulatory approval, hot commissioning; commercial operation and deliveries depend on successful commissioning and SEMA/AP operating approval. Cadence has invested about USD 16.1m in the project to date and holds 36.2% via Pedra Branca Alliance; the Azteca plant is expected to produce about 380,000 tonnes per year of iron-ore concentrate (approx. 65% Fe) from tailings. The Amapá project has a JORC-compliant mineral resource of 276m tonnes (38% Fe) and proven and probable ore reserves of 195.8m tonnes (39.34% Fe). » More on de.investing.com

  • Cadence Minerals asks shareholders to authorize ÂŁ500,000 bridge financing for Amapá

Cadence Minerals will ask shareholders at the general meeting on August 26 to approve raising up to £500,000 to finance bridge and road works and modifications to the Amapá project’s tailings disposal facility. The funds are primarily intended to pay for repairs to the Pedra‑Branca‑do‑Amapari bridge, which is currently operating under restrictions and is hindering ore transport to first shipment. If the general meeting rejects the proposal and no alternative financing is available, works would be delayed and the final feasibility study is likely to be pushed back until mid‑2027. Cadence also plans a retail offer for existing shareholders; total investment in Amapá to date amounts to around USD 16.1m (indirect interest 36.2%). » More on de.investing.com
