  • Canadian Utilities misses Q1 2026 forecast, stock falls

Canadian Utilities reported Q1 2026 EPS of $0.816, 6.08% below the analyst forecast of $0.8688, after which the stock fell about 2% in pre-market trading and closed at $47.93. Adjusted earnings nevertheless rose 4.3% to CAD 242 million, supported by ATCO Energy Systems and ATCO Australia, on revenue of CAD 1.08 billion. Operating cash flow declined due to customer refunds, and higher interest expenses weighed on net income. The company points to infrastructure projects such as the Yellowhead pipeline as growth drivers and expects continued earnings growth for 2026. » More on de.investing.com
