Cardinal Health expects growth to normalize as specialty and at-home investments expand
Cardinal Health said fiscal 2027 growth should normalize after fiscal 2026’s unusually strong specialty growth, customer onboarding and acquisitions. Management highlighted double-digit earnings growth across all five operating segments in fiscal 2026 and said it will continue expanding specialty and at-home care through MSO platforms, bolt-on deals and diabetes-related acquisitions. The company is prioritizing automated small-parcel distribution for higher-value at-home products, plans three more automated distribution centers, and reported strong cash flow toward its $10 billion objective. » More on finance.yahoo.com
Cardinal Health expects growth in 2027 after strong fiscal 2026
Cardinal Health closed fiscal 2026 well above plan: normalized earnings per share exceeded the original forecast by more than $2.00, and all five operating segments delivered double-digit earnings gains, led by a 25% increase in specialty pharmaceutical distribution. The company has achieved roughly 90% of its target of $10 billion in cumulative free cash flow and cites progress in specialty pharma, managed services, at‑home solutions and GMPD. For 2027 management expects growth at or above the level of long‑term plan targets, but at a normalized pace; pressure from commodities and tariffs remains a risk. The acquisition pipeline is active, with the purchase of AdaptHealth’s diabetes business named the most significant upcoming transaction. » More on de.investing.com
Cardinal Health expects 13–15% EPS growth in 2027 and plans $1 billion in share buybacks
At the Morgan Stanley Healthcare Conference, Cardinal Health said it expects earnings per share to grow 13–15% in fiscal 2027 and plans $1 billion in share repurchases. Management emphasized broad execution of its strategy: pharmaceutical wholesale remains the core business, while specialty, BioPharma Solutions, home care, nuclear medicine and logistics are the growth drivers. Specialty growth is likely to slow compared with last year’s boom; tariffs and regulatory changes remain watchpoints that the company plans to address through price adjustments and contract structures. » More on de.investing.com
