  • Casio brings 20 limited G-Shock watches in blue sapphire glass for €80,000

Casio unveiled the MRG-D5000-BDR, a 20-piece limited quartz G-Shock with a multi-part bezel and case made from blue sapphire glass, priced at €80,000. Technically it uses a solar-powered quartz module similar to cheaper models; the high price is justified by material costs, handcrafted finishing, rarity and brand story. The launch is part of the Blue-Rose anniversary collection, which also includes other premium models from €779 to €15,000, and underscores Casio’s strategy to gradually position G-Shock in the luxury segment. » More on wiwo.de
