Corteva to pay about $66 million of $455 million PFAS settlement in North Carolina

Corteva, EIDP, Chemours and DuPont agreed with North Carolina and municipalities to a $455 million settlement of PFAS claims, with payments spread over 15 years. Corteva’s share is about $66 million; Corteva and DuPont also guarantee Chemours’ portion on a 29%/71% pro rata basis. A reserve fund of up to $135 million will be established if Chemours fails to meet its obligations.
