FMC unveils turnaround plan focusing on de-leveraging, production restructuring and new active ingredients
FMC announced a turnaround plan at the Jefferies Global Industrials Conference that includes debt reduction (expected net debt by end-2026: $2.6–2.7bn, about $1bn from disposals/financings), restructuring of production sites (completion planned Q1 2027) and commercialization of new products such as fluindapyr, Isoflex and Dodhylex. Tessenderlo’s 20% stake with a three-year lock-up is intended to support the de-leveraging plan. Management sees 2027 as the start of recovery but expects Rynaxypyr stabilization and market tests in H2 2026 to be decisive; around 1,000 jobs are to be cut as part of the restructuring. FMC also emphasizes stronger partnerships to improve R&D efficiency and a repositioning of the core business with the aim of restoring growth above the market. » More on de.investing.com

Analysts at JPMorgan and UBS warned this could lead to lower estimates for the second half of the year. Bernstein also criticized weaker treatment numbers in the U.S.; the stock lost more than eight percent on Tradegate. » More on de.investing.com
