Heron Therapeutics withdraws 2026 guidance after court ruling raises CINVANTI generic risk
Heron Therapeutics reported Q2 net revenue of $37.7 million as ZYNRELEF sales rose 35% to $11.1 million and APONVIE climbed 74% to about $4.2 million, while CINVANTI sales fell 10% to $21.8 million. A Delaware court decision on CINVANTI patents increased the risk of generic competition, prompting Heron to appeal, amend its credit facility, make a $13.5 million principal payment, pause planned salesforce expansion and withdraw its 2026 guidance. The company ended the quarter with $42.7 million in cash and investments (pro forma about $28.5 million after the payment), faces new monthly covenants through December 2027 and is evaluating strategic alternatives with quarterly cash and covenant updates planned. » More on finance.yahoo.com
Heron Therapeutics reaffirms 2026 guidance after weak Q1 driven by weather and supplier costs
Heron reported Q1 net product sales of $34.7 million and adjusted EBITDA of negative $0.7 million, with gross margin at 69% due to temporary costs from a secondary CINVANTI supplier and severe winter weather that disrupted elective surgeries. Management expects conditions to improve through 2026 and reaffirmed full-year guidance of $173–183 million in net product sales and $10–20 million in adjusted EBITDA. Acute care products led growth—ZYNRELEF and APONVIE rose strongly—while CINVANTI held a 25% exit share in the NK1 market; new account wins could add more than $10 million in annualized revenue. » More on finance.yahoo.com
