Ingram Micro: AI and Xvantage drive revenue growth and margins

At the Goldman Sachs conference, Ingram Micro said demand for GPUs and AI infrastructure is a key growth driver and that sales in this area more than doubled year over year. The company’s Xvantage platform has already cut annual operating costs by $200m and is now being used for dynamic pricing and margin improvement. Cloud sales account for under 1% of net revenue but contributed roughly 18–20% of gross profit in the first half. In Q2, revenue and gross profit each rose about 12%; earnings grew two to three times faster thanks to operating leverage. subsidiary of Platinum Equity places 13.1 million Ingram Micro shares

Ingram Holdco, an investment vehicle of Platinum Equity, has launched a secondary placement of 13,125,000 common shares of Ingram Micro, with a 30-day option for an additional 1,968,750 shares. Ingram Micro is not offering any shares and will receive no proceeds from the sale; net proceeds will go to the selling shareholder. The company plans to concurrently repurchase 625,000 shares from the syndicate bank at the same price and intends to finance that repurchase from cash on hand. Goldman Sachs & Co.
