Japan Petroleum Exploration warns of profit decline after rising LNG costs and production halt
Japan Petroleum Exploration reports significant burdens on earnings due to higher procurement costs from unplanned LNG spot purchases following the blockade of the Strait of Hormuz and from a production interruption at the Garraf oil field in Iraq. Despite high oil prices and a weak yen, the company expects these effects will not be offset by additional revenue. The exact impact on the profit forecast is still being examined; new details are expected on May 13. The stock fell sharply on the Tokyo exchange as a result. » More on finanzen.net
