  • Neste benefits from jet-fuel crisis – SAF becomes more competitive due to high prices

Due to tight jet-fuel supplies from the Gulf and sharply higher oil prices, sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) has moved into the spotlight for the aviation industry. Neste, which produces SAF from used cooking and animal fats, sees opportunities for economies of scale and rising demand, while airlines and logistics firms like DHL have already secured advance volumes. Limited production capacity, costly and complex feedstock logistics, and cautious investments by major oil companies, however, are slowing a breakthrough. Many further expansion steps lack offtake agreements and bankable business models despite the temporarily improved competitive positions. » More on wiwo.de

  • Neste benefits from high diesel prices and could benefit further

Rising diesel prices and geopolitical tensions have increased demand for diesel fuel, from which Neste — the world’s leading producer of renewable diesel with large refineries in Europe — has benefited significantly. In the second quarter, EBITDA rose to €1.14 billion versus €246 million a year earlier. A possible US export ban on diesel could further tighten supply and give Neste an additional boost, which is why analysts have already raised their price targets. » More on deraktionaer.de

  • Neste reports record result in second quarter thanks to renewable fuels

Finnish producer Neste increased revenue in Q2 by 32.7% to €6.2bn and posted an adjusted EBITDA of €1.2bn, driven by the renewable products business (EBITDA €859m). Adjusted earnings per share rose to €1.06, while operating cash flow fell to €255m due to higher inventories; investments in the quarter amounted to €199m. Management plans an early bond repayment (€500m), aims to reduce debt, to advance the Rotterdam expansion for 2027, and expects stable sales volumes of renewable products in 2026 along with higher investments of around €1.2bn. The valuation stands at an EV of €30.4bn (12.1× projected 2027 EBIT); analysts expect significantly higher margins in 2026 with a decline in 2027, and geopolitical conflicts continue to create uncertainty. » More on finanzen.net
