New Hope Group increases production, posts strong result and pays final dividend
New Hope Group reports FY2026 revenue of AUD 1.8bn, adjusted EBITDA of AUD 514m and a statutory net profit of AUD 161m. Saleable coal production rose 8% to 11.5m tonnes, but the average selling price fell by about 10% to AUD 145/t. New Hope Group reported an underlying EBITDA of AUD 514 million and operating cash flow of AUD 564 million for 2026; the cash balance stood at around AUD 800 million. Saleable coal production rose 8% to 11.5 million tonnes, supported by strong results at Bengalla and the ramp-up of New Acland. Bengalla held FOB cash costs at AUD 81.30/t at the lower end of guidance, and management continues to expect dividend payments as capex falls after completion of current projects.
