Photon Energy reduces loss in Q2 2026 and doubles EBITDA in turnaround
Photon Energy reports a 10.4% revenue increase to €28.3m in Q2 2026, EBITDA of €5.7m (up 103.6%) and a reduced net loss of €0.3m. Cost cuts, staff reductions (from 307 to 198 FTE) and higher day-ahead power prices contributed to the improved results. Management is shifting the business toward capex-conserving services (O&M, asset management) and expects elevated power prices through 2027. Risks remain high: tight liquidity, ongoing bond negotiations, insolvency cases in Poland and the need to sell assets to strengthen the balance sheet. » More on de.investing.com
Photon Energy misses 2025 EBITDA guidance after weak final quarter
Photon Energy reports a 2025 annual EBITDA of €5.1m, well below the guidance of €9m. In Q4 revenue fell 29.7% to €18m and quarterly EBITDA was -€3.4m. Results were impacted by a €3.2m provision related to a dispute with the Polish transmission system operator and by regulatory pressures in Romania and Hungary; full-year revenue of €100m was in line with guidance. Photon Energy gives no concrete forecast for 2026 and cites cost optimizations and the resolution of license and legal issues as levers to improve EBITDA. » More on de.investing.com
