Plus500’s stock slid about 11% after a disappointing trading update. For H1 the company reported revenue of USD 462.9m (+12%) and adjusted EBITDA of USD 187.5m (+1%), causing the margin to shrink from 45% to 41%. The decline was driven by higher spending on customer acquisition and expansion of the US business; Plus500 revised its full-year guidance from “above expectations” to “in line with expectations.” The second quarter showed a slowdown with declining new customer numbers, which added to the selling pressure. » More on de.investing.com
