  • Renesas Electronics misses EPS forecast by a wide margin, beats revenue

Renesas Electronics reported Q1 revenue of ¥380.29 billion, beating expectations, while earnings per share fell well short of forecasts. The automotive segment was a key contributor to the revenue gain, but the operating margin was hit by one‑off effects and timing shifts. The stock fell 2.3% after the release. For the next quarter the company expects revenue growth but anticipates declining gross and operating margins due to negative currency effects and rising costs, and plans price adjustments to offset this. » More on de.investing.com

  • Renesas integrates Ceva wireless IPs into new IoT microcontrollers

Renesas has integrated Ceva’s Wi‑Fi‑6 and Bluetooth‑LE IP into the new RA6W1 and RA6W2 microcontrollers. The dual‑band and combo MCUs target smart‑home, industrial and consumer applications and enable designs with pure Wi‑Fi, combined Wi‑Fi/Bluetooth‑LE functionality or as fully integrated modules. The integration is intended to reduce power consumption and material costs, simplify system designs and support both hosted and hostless implementations. » More on de.investing.com
