Bank of America cuts target price for Renk and downgrades stock to neutral
Bank of America has sharply cut its target price for Renk from €62.50 to €42.50 and downgraded the rating from buy to neutral. Analyst David Holmes sees the risk that Renk may not be able to maintain gearbox/transmission production at current levels, which limits long-term valuation upside, although the service business remains attractive. The stock has more than halved since early October; Renk must regain confidence in its growth path with the Q3 figures expected on 5 November (market expectation: revenue €366m, EBIT €63m). » More on deraktionaer.de
BofA downgrades Renk and pushes stock to new low
An analysis by Bank of America led to downgrades at Renk; analyst David Holmes removed the buy recommendation, citing unsustainable gearbox production, which sent the stock to a new low. At the same time, BofA added Hensoldt to its Best Ideas list, maintained the buy rating and raised the price target, causing its shares to rise. Holmes now favors providers of air defense, surveillance and electronic warfare such as Hensoldt, Kongsberg and Aselsan, while downgrading companies with more cyclical spare‑parts and replenishment businesses like Rheinmetall, Renk and CSG. » More on finanzen.net
RENK slides after price-target cut to lowest level since April 2025
RENK shares fell sharply and, down around 3.0% to €38.43, were the biggest loser in the MDAX; that level marked a low since April 2025. The trigger was a price-target cut by JPMorgan analyst David Perry, who expects a possibly disappointing operating result in the third quarter but still maintains a €62 price target and an "Overweight" rating. Peers such as Rheinmetall, HENSOLDT and TKMS also fell. RENK announced its quarterly report for November 5, a pre-close call on October 21 and a US roadshow in mid-October. » More on finanzen.net
