  • Sekisui Chemical reports mixed Q4 results; operating profit below forecast

Sekisui Chemical increased net sales in the fourth quarter to JPY 1,309.3 billion (up JPY 11.5 billion), while operating profit fell to JPY 106.5 billion, missing the forecast. Ordinary profit was JPY 117.2 billion and net income amounted to JPY 75.2 billion, which was weighed, among other factors, by impairments. The share price rose 1.44% after the results. The company plans to build a 100 MW production line for perovskite solar cells by fiscal 2027 and continues to focus on high-performance plastics, but sees risks such as weak markets, higher raw material costs and wage pressure. » More on de.investing.com

  • Sekisui Chemical reports record third-quarter sales, profit falls due to extraordinary loss

Sekisui Chemical posted record third-quarter sales of ¥330.1 billion, but profit attributable to owners fell sharply to ¥16.2 billion due to an extraordinary loss of ¥14.9 billion from the shutdown and liquidation of the Kuji plant. Operating and ordinary profits also declined year on year, while the stock slipped about 1%. The company repurchased shares worth ¥16 billion, maintained an annual dividend of ¥80, and still expects record full-year sales and profits. Sekisui emphasizes cost control and a strategic focus on Electronics, Mobility and Industrial, but continues to anticipate headwinds in its housing and medical businesses. » More on de.investing.com

  • Sekisui Chemical posts record revenue, profit declines — management gives strong outlook

Sekisui Chemical reported a first-half 2025 net sales record of ¥629.8 billion, while operating profit and profit attributable to owners fell sharply due to weaker results in HPP and Medical. The Housing segment contributed positively thanks to higher unit prices but could not fully offset losses in other segments. For the full year, management revised targets to ¥1,323.2 billion in revenue and ¥110.0 billion in operating profit and expects improvements in product mix and high-performance products. Sekisui Chemical also announced a dividend increase to ¥80 per share and a substantial share buyback program to boost shareholder returns. » More on de.investing.com
