  • Guardian Pharmacy buys assets of Nautilus Pharmacy

    Guardian Pharmacy is taking over prescription files, pharmacy inventories and certain fixed assets of Tennessee-based Nautilus Pharmacy. Nautilus supplies assisted-living facilities by mail order in 14 US states; Guardian will transition the care of those residents to 18 local Guardian pharmacies in the respective markets.     Australia’s Sigma Healthcare has ended early-stage talks to acquire U.K. pharmacy chain Boots, saying the asset no longer fits its strategic priorities and it will focus on Australian and Asian growth. The withdrawal prolongs uncertainty over Boots’ ownership; the chain operates about 1,800 UK stores and has recently been repositioned toward higher-margin beauty and wellness categories.
