Southern Cross Media reports mixed H2‑2026 results: revenue decline, digital growth
Southern Cross Media reported for the fiscal year to 30 June 2026 a revenue decline of 4.4% to AUD 1.87 billion and a net profit decline of 58% to AUD 9.9 million, weighed down by weak TV and audio advertising markets. Net debt stood at AUD 363 million; management expects cost increases for FY2027 to be below inflation and aims to accelerate digital growth via 7plus and LiSTNR. » More on de.investing.com
Southern Cross Media Group shows weak ROE and unsustainable dividend payout
Southern Cross Media Group's shares have fallen about 18% in three months as fundamentals lag: trailing ROE is 3.0% versus a 4.7% industry average and five‑year net income has declined 48%. The company recorded a last‑twelve‑month payout ratio near 150%, funding dividends beyond its earnings despite a decade of payouts. Analysts expect the payout ratio to fall to about 36% and project ROE rising to around 16% over the next three years, but current metrics signal limited organic earnings growth and warrant caution. » More on finance.yahoo.com
