TMX Group: TM2X revenue target within reach ahead of schedule
TMX Group reports organic revenue of CAD 975 million in the first half of 2024 and sees the TM2X target of CAD 2 billion reachable much earlier than planned, possibly by 2027 or even sooner. Growth is supported by strong organic momentum, three major acquisitions (Cboe Australia, proposed transaction with CDS Canada, MEMX Group/BOX) totaling about CAD 2 billion, and business lines with recurring revenues that now make up more than 50% of group revenue. Management plans further acquisitions while maintaining capital discipline and credit ratings (target leverage excluding M&A 1.5–2.5x; expected peak during integration ~3.4x) and announced the third dividend increase within 12 months. » More on de.investing.com
TMX Group bets on M&A, data and AI to accelerate growth
TMX Group pursues a growth strategy focused on acquisitions, recurring revenue, international expansion and the expansion of its Global Solutions, Insights and Analytics segment. The planned acquisitions of MEMX and BOX are expected to close after SEC review in early 2027 and will strengthen TMX’s presence in the U.S. options market. Data, analytics and derivatives businesses are showing strong growth, while the company waits for regulatory approvals and customer demand before launching new products and entering new markets. TMX is also investing in co‑location infrastructure for AI‑capable hardware, views AI primarily as an internal productivity tool, and emphasizes the protective factors of its data‑ and network‑based business models. » More on de.investing.com

TMX is financing the purchase with cash and debt and intends to use the business to establish a foothold in Australia and expand its focus on derivatives, digital assets and prediction markets. The sale was part of Cboe’s strategic realignment announced in October 2025. » More on de.investing.com
