Blackrock builds hotel chain in Germany and buys Munich's Excelsior
Asset manager Blackrock plans to build its own hotel chain in Germany and has acquired the traditional four‑star Hotel Excelsior in Munich for around €60 million through a fund. The transaction marks the start of further hotel investments as Blackrock is increasingly allocating client capital to hotels rather than office properties. BlackRock invests $1.8 billion in TotalEnergies infrastructure in Africa
BlackRock will invest $1.8 billion in a portfolio of TotalEnergies’ oil and gas infrastructure in Africa via a fund. The transaction, agreed with Global Infrastructure Partners, provides that TotalEnergies will pay a throughput‑based fee for up to 15 years.
