Trican Well Service posts higher Q1 revenue, margins pressured by pricing and cost inflation
Trican Well Service reported Q1 revenue of CAD 330.3 million and adjusted EBITDA of CAD 70.1 million, while net earnings were CAD 30.3 million and free cash flow totaled CAD 49.6 million. Margins were weighed down by pricing weakness and higher costs related to inflation, depreciation from the Iron Horse acquisition and technology investments. The company reduced net debt to CAD 29.8 million, continued share buybacks under its NCIB and declared a CAD 0.0055 per share dividend. Management expects improving activity and technology-driven market share gains, aims to be debt-free or slightly cash positive by year-end and plans to return about 50% of free cash flow to shareholders over time. » More on finance.yahoo.com
