Twilio expands AI-powered conversational platform
At the Goldman Sachs conference, Twilio unveiled an expanded strategy spanning communication channels, contextual data and AI agents, highlighting new products such as Conversation Memory, Orchestrator and Conversation Intelligence. Alpha Compute has appointed Mike Huskins, effective immediately, as an independent member of the board of directors and as a member of the audit committee. Twilio: focus on communications infrastructure boosts growth and margins
At the Canaccord Growth Conference, Twilio said the shift to pure communications infrastructure, tighter cost control and new products have driven accelerated revenue and gross profit growth. In the second quarter the company delivered high‑teens organic revenue growth, messaging excluding carrier fees up 18%, voice growth above 20% and double‑digit growth at Verify and Self‑Service. Non‑GAAP operating margins rose to around 20% and absolute gross profit grew for the fifth consecutive quarter, although percentage gross margins remain pressured by carrier fees and the revenue mix.
