Viatris raises guidance after Q2 growth and gains FDA approval for contraceptive patch
Viatris reported Q2 revenue up about 4.9% year over year and management raised fiscal 2026 guidance across key metrics. Billionaire-led funds held stakes in the stock as it traded near $16, up ~33% year-to-date. The FDA approved the once-weekly Gwyn Lo contraceptive patch, a fast-acting meloxicam formulation is under review and two late-stage trials (selatogrel and cenerimod) will report in early fiscal 2027. Valuation looks attractive (forward non-GAAP P/E ~6.6, EV/EBITDA ~7) but tariff risk and looming changes to generic exemptions in 2028 pose material downside for its import-reliant portfolio. » More on finance.yahoo.com
Viatris beats Q2 expectations and raises full-year outlook
Viatris reported adjusted EPS of $0.69 for Q2 2026 (expectation $0.61) and revenue of $3.76 billion versus expected $3.67 billion, and subsequently raised its full-year guidance. Free cash flow and margins improved; adjusted EBITDA was $1.2 billion and gross margin rose to 57.5%. Debt fell to about 2.9x. The stock dipped slightly premarket as investors weighed potential H2 risks such as a new procurement policy in China, production interruptions in Nashik and intensified competition. » More on de.investing.com
Viatris receives FDA approval for once-weekly contraceptive patch Gwyn Lo
The FDA has approved Gwyn Lo, a once-weekly contraceptive patch from Viatris containing norelgestromin and ethinylestradiol. The patch is intended for women of childbearing potential with a BMI under 30 kg/m² and delivers 220 mcg norelgestromin and 20 mcg ethinylestradiol per day. Approval was based on the Phase III Luminous study, which showed a Pearl Index of 4.14 and complete detachment of only 1.3% of applied systems. Common side effects included application-site reactions, irregular and heavy withdrawal bleeding, and nausea; Gwyn Lo is contraindicated in smokers over 35 and in women with BMI ≥30 kg/m². Viatris expects to launch the product later this year. » More on de.investing.com
