Berenberg rates WACKER CHEMIE as hold and cuts target price to €85
Private bank Berenberg reduced its price target for WACKER CHEMIE from €104 to €85 and downgraded the recommendation from "Buy" to "Hold". Analyst Sebastian Bray sees little prospect of a significant operating profit increase by 2027. The polysilicon business remains attractive, but Wacker has already brought most of its new capacity online, while other suppliers in the semiconductor chain have already experienced price corrections. » More on finanzen.net
Wacker Chemie confirms annual targets and aims for upper half of profit range
Wacker Chemie increased third-quarter revenue by about 9% to €1.47 billion and doubled EBITDA to roughly €217 million; net profit was €87 million after a prior-year loss. Drivers were an efficiency program and a one-off effect from a contract termination in the polysilicon business. For 2026, management expects mid-single-digit revenue growth and an operating profit of €625–750 million, with the upper half of the range expected; net debt is likely to be lower, helped by proceeds from the Siltronic share sale. Analysts recently raised price targets, and the stock gained around 4% intraday. » More on finanzen.net
WACKER CHEMIE expects 2026 EBITDA in upper half of target range
WACKER CHEMIE beat market expectations in the third quarter: EBITDA rose 94% to €217.2 million and profit after tax was €87.3 million (previous year: loss). Revenue grew 9% to €1.466 billion. For 2026 the company now aims for an EBITDA landing in the upper half of the target range that was raised in July and confirms its full-year revenue growth target. Net financial debt is expected to be around €200 million instead of €500 million following stake and securities sales. » More on finanzen.net
