Thomson Medical Group to build $4.3bn mixed-use hospital and residential project in Johor Bay

Thomson Medical Group will develop an 18 billion ringgit ($4.3 billion) mixed-use project on a 26-acre Johor Bay site featuring a 500-bed hospital (expandable to 1,000 beds), a 47-storey residential tower and commercial and hospitality amenities, with phase one starting next year and completion expected within four years. The Singapore-listed hospital operator, controlled by billionaire Peter Lim, said the timing aligns with infrastructure and special economic zone developments between Johor and Singapore.
