Ashtead Technology warns of significantly weaker 2026 result — shares fall 17%
Ashtead Technology cuts its forecast: revenue is expected to be about 5% below consensus and adjusted EBITA roughly 15% below, after which the share price plunged 17% to 355.48 pence. The group cites ongoing geopolitical tensions in the Middle East, projects delayed from the second half of the year into 2027, as well as macroeconomic uncertainty and disruptions to shipping logistics in Europe and the Americas. The company stresses a still-solid balance sheet with expected leverage of around 1.3x at year-end and reaffirms its medium-term growth strategy, but was unable to prevent the share-price slump. » More on de.investing.com
