  • BNP Paribas falls after breaching 50-day line — Sudan lawsuit weighs

BNP Paribas shares have been declining since August and recently broke below the 50-day moving average at €105.66. Weighing on the stock is a lawsuit with plaintiffs from Sudan: the bank was ordered to pay in New York in 2025 and is appealing. Fundamentally the stock remains attractive, with an expected price-earnings ratio (P/E) of just under 8 for 2027, a price-to-book ratio of 0.9 and a high dividend yield (expected 5.6% for the current year, around 7% for 2027). Analysts are mostly positive; the average price target is €116.07, many recommend buy and none recommend sell. » More on deraktionaer.de

  • BNP Paribas Bank Polska posts solid profit and stable net interest margin in Q2 2026

BNP Paribas Bank Polska reported a net profit of PLN 600 million in Q2 2026 (H1: PLN 975 million) and saw net banking income rise by more than 3% quarter-on-quarter. The bank added 122,000 new retail customers in the first half, maintained a stable net interest margin and recorded loan growth of over 2%. However, a European Court of Justice (EuGH) ruling expense of PLN 42 million and operating costs rising above the inflation rate weigh on profitability. Management emphasizes disciplined growth under the "Accelerate 2030" strategy with a focus on quality, price discipline and capital strength. » More on de.investing.com

  • BNP Paribas increases profit in second quarter thanks to strong equity trading

BNP Paribas posted a net profit of about €4.3 billion in the second quarter, an increase of one third from a year earlier. Revenues rose 12 percent to €14.1 billion, with equity trading boosting revenues by 43 percent to €1.4 billion. Despite the improved figures, the stock fell just under two percent at midday. The bank raised provisions for credit losses by €949 million, partly due to the fallout from the Iran war, and costs rose more than expected. » More on finanzen.net
