Lattice will unify control of AI infrastructure by acquiring AMI
Lattice announced the planned acquisition of AMI to connect firmware and FPGA functions and provide a unified, ecosystem‑neutral control for data‑center and Physical‑AI applications. Management sees a shift from training to inferencing, more disaggregation and agent‑based AI, and is targeting a run rate of about USD 1.2bn by the end of 2026 and USD 3bn long term by 2030. The aim is to reduce customers’ integration effort, strengthen security and update capabilities, and provide prevalidated platforms as the “Red Hat of firmware.” » More on de.investing.com
Lattice Semiconductor advances push into data center business and expects FPGA revenue to double
At the Technology Leadership Forum 2026, Lattice Semiconductor announced an increased focus on data centers and AI infrastructure and reported revenue growth of over 80% in its communications and computing segment. Management expects FPGA revenue to double from about $500 million to roughly $1 billion, driven by higher server unit counts, increased attach rates and a more favorable product mix. The integration of the AMI acquisition is intended to combine FPGA and firmware capabilities into higher-value solutions for hyperscalers, while lead times have fallen to around 40 days but assembly/test/packaging remain bottlenecks. Lattice expects material revenues from physical AI from the end of 2025 and sees further growth in the coming years from volume expansion and higher average selling prices. » More on de.investing.com
Lattice Semiconductor shares fall despite record quarter and strong outlook
Lattice Semiconductor shares fell about 5.8% premarket, despite the company reporting a record quarter with $201.1m in revenue (+62% year‑on‑year) and adjusted EPS of $0.53. The Q3 guidance of $0.54–0.58 beat consensus but, after a prior rally, left little further upside. Weighing on the stock was the recently completed $1bn acquisition of AMI, which is expected to improve margins, EBITDA and free cash flow mid‑term but brings near‑term additional debt and integration risks. The price decline largely reflects profit‑taking and a reassessment of the acquisition’s consequences, not a deterioration in the core business. » More on de.investing.com
