Ströer: takeover speculation fails, digital core business gains momentum

Negotiations by a consortium of financial investors over a majority takeover of Ströer have apparently failed, reportedly due in part to a lack of co‑investors and economic concerns. At the same time, industry figures show strong tailwinds: the German out‑of‑home advertising market grew by 5.9% in H1 2026, and DOOH campaigns and impressions in the DACH region rose by more than 130% from January to July.
