Swiss Life expects slight earnings growth before half-year close; buyback and layoffs uncertain
Analysts expect the first half of 2026 to show operating profit, fee result and net profit slightly above last year’s levels; the AWP consensus cites an adjusted operating profit of 928 million Fr. It is unclear whether Swiss Life will announce a new share buyback program—some experts see a possible volume of around 250 million Fr., others do not. Reports of a larger workforce reduction in Switzerland are circulating; corporate communications confirmed a review of organizational and resource savings but did not explicitly deny layoffs. Swiss Life continues to prioritise growth in the fee business through 2027 and aims for defined SST and return targets; the stock has largely lagged the SMI since the start of the year. » More on finanzen.net
