Financial Institutions beats EPS forecasts, revenue slightly below expectations
Financial Institutions reported Q1 2026 EPS of $1.04 versus $0.92 expected, while revenue of $62.66 million narrowly missed the $62.76 million estimate. Net interest margin improved thanks to lower costs for interest-bearing liabilities, but non-interest income fell due to reduced swap activity. The stock reacted premarket with a slight decline to $34. For Q2 the company guides EPS of $0.95 and projects 2026 EPS of $3.95; the focus remains on cost management and optimizing the loan portfolio and deposit products. » More on de.investing.com
Synovus reports mixed Q4 2025 results ahead of merger with Pinnacle
Synovus recorded diluted earnings per share of $1.22 for Q4 2025, a decline from the prior quarter, despite a higher net interest margin of 3.45% and growth in loans and deposits. The quarter was weighed down by an additional tax/penalty of $14 million related to the return of a BOLI; net charge-offs and nonperforming loans increased, driven largely by a single C&I loan. The CET1 capital ratio reached an all-time high of 11.28%, and management expects, following the merger with Pinnacle, 2026 loan growth of 9–11%, deposit growth of 8–10% and roughly $100 million of cost synergies. » More on de.investing.com
