Ultra Electronics to pay £15m after SFO finds failures to prevent bribery

Ultra Electronics accepted responsibility for failing to prevent bribery in connection with public contracts in Algeria and Oman and agreed a deferred prosecution requiring a £10m penalty plus £4.8m to cover SFO costs. The company will implement reforms to its anti-bribery and compliance programme and must provide annual reports to the SFO for three years. The probe began in 2018, was expanded internationally, and follows previous remediation in Canada; Ultra is now owned within Cobham/Advent ownership structures. » More on theguardian.com
