Welcia Holdings: half-year profit rises 35.9% thanks to digitalization measures
Welcia Holdings reported a net profit attributable to shareholders of ¥15,923 million for the first half of fiscal 2026 (+35.9%) on net sales of ¥678,793 million (+7.6%), slightly below forecasts. Strong results came particularly from the prescription pharmacy business (+11.2%) and sales of private-label products (+18.4%), whose share of sales rose to 10.1%. Efficiency gains from AI-supported digital applications significantly reduced working hours and overtime and offset higher SG&A investments. The company keeps its full-year forecasts unchanged and is focusing growth on store renovations, DX investments, private-label expansion and the planned merger with TSURUHA HOLDINGS. » More on de.investing.com
