Abbott to spin off nutrition unit and take it public by end of 2027
Abbott plans to separate its nutrition business — which includes brands such as Similac, PediaSure, Pedialyte, Glucerna and Ensure — into an independent, publicly listed company. The segment most recently generated about $8.5 billion in revenue and employs roughly 16,000 people. The spinoff is expected to be completed by the end of 2027; one‑time costs will be incurred before the separation, but their amount has not been disclosed. Abbott does not expect the planned transaction to affect its 2026 earnings guidance or its outlook for 2027; the stock fell in NYSE trading. » More on finanzen.net
