Grupo Aeroportuario del Sureste reports stagnant revenue and significantly lower profit in Q4 2025
Grupo Aeroportuario del Sureste (ASUR) reported Q4 2025 revenue of MXN 7.3 billion (stagnant), while consolidated EBITDA fell nearly 5% to MXN 4.9 billion and net income attributable to majority shareholders declined 22% to MXN 2.7 billion. Adjusted EBITDA margin dropped 330 basis points to 66.4%, although the number of passengers handled rose slightly by 1% to 17.9 million. ASUR attributes the weakness to weaker traffic development in Mexico and currency effects in Puerto Rico; the share price fell 3.81% in pre-market trading. Management is focusing on acquisitions (ASUR US, Motiva) and operational expansions such as the reopening of Terminal 1 in CancĂșn, but sees risks from currency fluctuations, higher operating costs and increasing competition. » More on de.investing.com
Grupo Aeroportuario del Sureste reports EBITDA decline in fourth quarter
Grupo Aeroportuario del Sureste posted an EBITDA of MXN 4.9 billion in the fourth quarter, about 5% below last year and roughly 3% under consensus expectations, despite a 0.9% rise in passengers. Revenues excluding construction activity remained stable at MXN 7.3 billion; aeronautical revenues fell 0.3% (partly due to the appreciation of the peso), while commercial revenues increased 0.6%, helped by Colombia. The margin fell 333 basis points to 66.4% as operating costs excluding construction rose around 25%, mainly due to personnel, security and acquisition costs related to Motiva and Asur US. The company closed the quarter with a conservative balance sheet and a leverage ratio (net debt/EBITDA) of 0.8. » More on de.investing.com
