Aon forecasts a 9.5% increase in U.S. employer health care costs for 2027, which would push average spending above $19,000 per employee and mark a fourth consecutive year of near-double-digit rises. The firm cites higher medical utilization, more chronic conditions, an uptick in high-cost claims and growing use of specialty and GLP-1 medications as key drivers. Employers absorbed about 82% of health plan costs in 2026 and many are expected to adopt plan-design changes or cost-management measures to mitigate further increases. » More on finance.yahoo.com
