Awalé Resources completes private placement of around USD 19m

Awalé Resources issued 22,337,664 common shares at USD 0.85 each and conducted a non-brokered private placement with Predictive Discovery (16,642,352 shares, 11.8% interest) and Fortuna Mining (5,695,312 shares; Fortuna’s total holding 14.7%) totaling roughly USD 19 million. After the transaction there are 141,334,595 shares outstanding and the company holds over USD 35 million in cash. The proceeds will be used to advance exploration at the Odienné project in Côte d’Ivoire; no warrants were issued. Predictive Discovery received a right to maintain its stake, and Awalé paid a 3% cash commission to an independent broker; the transaction remains subject to approval by the TSX Venture Exchange. » More on de.investing.com
