Bang & Olufsen: sales fall, margin rises — forecast cut
Bang & Olufsen reports Q2 2025/26 revenue of DKK 676m (-1.2% in local currency) with like-for-like sell-out growth of 7% and a significantly improved gross margin of 57.9% (prior year 53.7%). EBIT margin before special items fell to -5.3% (close to 0% excluding special items) and free cash flow worsened to -33m DKK. CEO Kristian Teär has resigned and CFO Nikolaj Wendelboe was appointed interim CEO; strategic priorities remain premium products, retail expansion and circular offerings such as the “Reloved” program. Bang & Olufsen reported a currency-adjusted revenue decline of 4% for Q1 2025 with a record gross margin of 58.7%. Bang & Olufsen seeks to block Canvas Hifi's Hifi Frame launch
Bang & Olufsen has taken Canvas Hifi to court, demanding that the market launch of the Hifi Frame be stopped, already produced units be destroyed and damages paid. B&O claims the product resembles the design of the Beovision Contour and gave Canvas Hifi a deadline of 1 October 2025.
