Bharti Airtel surpasses revenue forecasts in Q1 2026, narrowly misses profit target

Bharti Airtel reported revenue of 58,500 Crore INR for Q1 2026, beating expectations by about 3%, while earnings per share of 13.37 slightly missed the estimate of 13.51. The EBITDA margin remained stable at 51%, operating free cash flow was 16,450 Crore INR, and net debt to EBITDA improved to 0.7x. Bharti Airtel to raise stake in Airtel Africa to 79% and increase BT holding to just under 30%

Bharti Airtel seeks shareholder approval for a cashless share-swap to lift its stake in U.K.-listed Airtel Africa to 79% in a deal worth 282.22 billion rupees (about $2.9 billion). Africa accounted for over a quarter of Bharti's consolidated revenue in FY2026 and the group says the planned IPO of Airtel Mobile Commerce could unlock significant value. Bharti Airtel and IBM expand partnership to roll out Airtel Cloud in India

Bharti Airtel and IBM have entered a strategic partnership to expand Airtel Cloud and increase availability zones in India from four to ten. Customers will gain access to IBM Power systems as a service, including Power11 servers, and to IBM’s AI stack based on watsonx and Red Hat OpenShift AI.
