  • Billington Holdings launches employee share plan Sharesave 2026

    Billington Holdings has launched the three-year employee share plan “Sharesave 2026”, with 104 employees participating. The company granted 159,395 options at an exercise price of 306 pence per share, a 20% discount to the closing price on 2 February. The options can be exercised from 1 April 2029 and represent 1.2% of issued share capital.   • Billington closes Yate site and moves structural steel production to Barnsley

    Billington has announced the closure of its Yate plant; production is to be largely wound down by the end of 2025, while the technical office will be retained. Parts of the workforce are to be relocated to Barnsley sites in early 2026; staff have already been hired in Wombwell and Shafton and night shifts expanded. Equipment from Yate will be moved to Barnsley to reduce investment needs; the aim of the consolidation is greater flexibility, lower overheads and improved cost efficiency.
