  • Black Diamond: positive phase‑2‑data on silevertinib in non‑small‑cell lung cancer

Black Diamond reports from a phase‑2 study of silevertinib as first‑line therapy in non‑small‑cell lung cancer with non‑classical EGFR mutations. In 43 patients (200 mg once daily) the preliminary median progression‑free survival was 15.2 months, the objective response rate 60% and the disease control rate 91%; in 19 patients with brain metastases the CNS response rate was 86% and no new brain metastases occurred. No new safety signals were observed; after dose reduction the rate of treatment‑related grade‑3‑or‑higher events was 28% and the company recommends a registration dose of 150 mg once daily. The data will be presented at ASCO; Black Diamond plans talks with the FDA later this year. Investor reaction has recently lifted the stock significantly, but the company remains unprofitable and volatile (beta 3.34). » More on de.investing.com
