The board of Black Hills has declared a quarterly dividend of $0.703 per common share. Shareholders of record at the close of business on August 17, 2026, will be eligible; payment will be made on September 1, 2026. Black Hills' stock rose about 5.3% after the update, after the company confirmed that the 1.8-gigawatt data center project will proceed as planned despite the departure of development partner Crusoe. Black Hills is now working directly with the potential major customer, expects commissioning in early 2028, and has reached agreements on generation facilities and a substation. Black Hills reported a decline in earnings for Q1 2026, mainly due to one of the warmest winters in its service territories; adjusted EPS was $1.79 and missed analysts' expectations, and revenue also fell short of forecasts. Management reaffirmed the full-year outlook of $4.25–4.45 adjusted EPS and highlighted strong financial metrics with investment-grade ratings and net leverage of 54.0%.
